Adapting the CLIL Approach to Blended Learning

How can we use essential 21 st Century skills to guide us in encouraging our students to be more engaged and responsible in their own learning? How can we structure our lessons, units and projects so that we proactively augment critical thinking, the growth mindset, language acquisition and a global perspective? What are best practices we can use to reach our students either in face-to-face or online classes so that: we have reliable feedback, a strong affective domain, and relevancy in our students’ lives? What are the true benefits of bilingual education and what does that mean to our students’ futures? All these questions and more will be addressed in this course.

We will examine a plethora of examples of lessons planned using the essential elements of the CLIL approach for all Primary and Secondary subjects and levels, and you will have support in designing your own lessons, for language and/or content classes.

Sessions will be interactive using Mini-Lessons that guide teachers to begin lessons with scaffolding and end with reflection and feedback – and so facilitating a more effective flow of lessons..
